You are here: Home > Information > Welcome > Youth Archive > March 2007 Youth News March 2007 This past month… The Souper Bowl Event raised $450.11 to support the Missionary Sponsorship Covenant. Thanks to all who helped with the soup and bread meal, and to all who came to enjoy the meal. And, thanks to the youth who collected money after each service. The Spaghetti Dinner was a success even with the snowy weather. Thanks to all who helped by setting up, providing a dessert, providing music, cooking the meal, serving the dinner, cleaning up, and buying tickets. Let’s do it again next year! There was a small but mighty group at Children’s church. We had a good time singing and praising God. Join us next month and bring a friend. At the time of the writing of this article the Youth Volleyball Event scheduled for later in the month had not occurred.
Upcoming in March… March 2nd-3rd—Youth Lock-In for 3rd Through 5th Graders Come join us for an overnight at Grace from 6:30pm, March 2nd to 8:00am, March 3rd. Sign up on the youth bulleting board. Bring your friends. March 3rd—Trip to St. Theresa’s We will meet at the church at 5:00pm to attend mass at St. Theresa’s. Afterwards, the priest will be available to answer our questions. Confirmands will receive a learning credit for attending. Sign up on the Youth Bulletin Board. March 7th, 14th, 21st, 28th—Lenten Family Events We will gather in the fellowship hall at 6:00pm for a potluck meal followed by a brief devotion. Please bring a dish to share. (Please note: There is a service scheduled at 7:00pm afterwards in the chapel. Everyone is welcome.) March 11th—Children’s Church All 4yr olds through 3rd graders are invited to Children’s Church in the chapel at 11:00am. Kids will rejoin their families after the sermon. Friends are welcome. March 11th—Special Youth Event All 6th through 12th grade youth are invited to join us for a special youth event this evening. The event starts at 7:00pm. More details to come. March 12th—Council, 7:00pm Confirmands are welcome to attend to receive a learning credit toward their confirmation requirements. March 18th—Youth Group Bowling Event We will meet at 2:30pm at Grace to carpool to Trindle Bowl. Residents from the Group Home in Mechanicsburg will join us. The cost is $3.75/person/game. Sign up on the youth bulletin board. March 26th—Board and Committee Night, 7:00pm Confirmands are welcome to attend to receive a learning credit toward their confirmation requirements. March 31—Trip to Bethesda Mission We will gather at 3:15pm at Grace to carpool to Bethesda Mission where we will learn about the mission and help serve dinner to clients. Sign up on the youth bulletin board. This will serve as a service credit toward confirmation requirements.
