May 2007

This past month…

            Thanks to the Fellowship and Arts Committee and to all the youth who made the Easter Egg Hunt on Palm Sunday such a great success.  We had a great turn out, and a good time was had by all. 

            Thanks to the youth who facilitated the Good Friday Youth Service.  A special thanks to Lauren Bozart who organized the service this year.  Once again, it was a powerful and moving experience.

            At the time of this article the Youth Car Wash and the D.C. Youth Trip had not happened.

Upcoming in May…

May 4^th—Bingo Night—6:00-8:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall

            Confirmands should plan to be there as it is the confirmation class project.  Everyone is welcome.

May 5^th—Church Cleanup, 8:00 AM-Noon

            Confirmands will receive a service credit for helping.  All are welcome to attend.  Sign up on the youth bulletin board.

May 12^th—Kentland Cleanup, 8:00 AM-Noon

            Confirmands will receive a service credit for helping.  All are welcome to attend.  Sign up on the youth bulletin board.

May 14^th—Council, 7:00 PM

            Confirmands will receive a learning credit for attending.  Please let Pastor Joel know if you plan to attend.

May 20^th—Confirmation Rehearsal, 9:45 AM in the main sanctuary

            Today we will walking through the Service of Affirmation of Faith in preparation for Confirmation Sunday.

May 20^th—Children’s Church, 11:00 AM service in the chapel

            Join us for a kid-friendly service.  For all children four years of age through third grade.     

May 20^th—Miniature Golf, 3:00 PM at Bumble Bee Hollow for 3^rd thru 5^th graders  and their families

            We will meet at Grace at 2:30pm to carpool to the miniature golf center.  The cost is $5/adult and $4/child under 12 years of age.  Sign up on the youth bulletin board. 

May 27^th—Confirmation, 10:00 AM service

            The second year confirmation students will be confirmed this morning.  Please come out and join us as we celebrate with them.

Upcoming in June…

June 3^rd—Post High Graduation Tea

June 9^th—Strawberry Festival/Yard Sale (Youth to do the hotdogs.)

June 17^th-23^rd—Confirmation Camp

June 25^th-29^th—Vacation Bible School
